The average ticket price figures to rise to more than $28 per game, the second-highest in baseball behind Boston's, which will be at around $45 after a 5 percent increase at Fenway Park. The New York Yankees are expected to pass the Cubs when they announce their price hike for 2004.

Prices for bleacher tickets and club boxes have increased the most over the years. A bleacher seat was $4 in 1987, when a club box cost $10.50. With the three-tiered structure in place, a bleacher ticket for a premium date is nearly nine times higher than it was in '87, while the most expensive box seat is nearly five times higher.
