Gov. Granholm Records Audio Version of 'Barnyard Song' for Michigan Reads! 2004 Program; Audio Recording Makes 'One State, One Preschool Book' Selection Accessible to Michigan's Blind and Vision-Impaired Children or Parents
State Librarian Christie Pearson Brandau today announced that Governor Jennifer M. Granholm recently volunteered her time to record an audio version of Rhonda Gowler Greene’s “Barnyard Song,” the book around which all activities will center for Michigan Reads! 2004.

“One of our most important responsibilities as adults is to help children of all ages and abilities embrace the power and enjoyment of reading,” said Gov. Granholm. “It was an honor to be asked to help bring a voice to the entertaining and quirky characters in ‘Barnyard Song.’ I hope I’ve done justice to the ducks, cows and chickens.”

The woman reads for the blind and visually impaired children. This just keeps getting better. I'm kind of disturbed that I haven't found anything that I don't like about her yet. She's a politician, for chrissakes. There must be something.
