FORT DODGE, Iowa, Jan 14 (Reuters) - Democratic presidential contender Carol Moseley Braun will drop out of the race and endorse front-runner Howard Dean in Iowa on Thursday, campaign aides said.

Braun, a former senator from Illinois and the first black woman elected to the U.S. Senate, will endorse Dean at an afternoon event in Carroll, Iowa.
