Notes: Zambrano on the mark
"I'm not a strikeout man, I'm a ground ball man," said Zambrano, who fanned seven over three innings Monday in an 8-4 win against the Milwaukee Brewers. "I really don't pay attention to strikeouts. I just make my pitches and execute my pitches."

"He looked real good," Cubs manager Dusty Baker said. "He came to camp ready. He came in great shape. He came here ready to pitch and I'm proud of how he worked and how far ahead he is from last year at this time. I like to see that hunger, especially from a guy who knows he's in the rotation."

And that could be the spark that motivates the others to step up their game. His emotional style might serve us well.
