Yahoo! News - Log Cabin Republicans launch $1M anti-FMA ad campaign
The Log Cabin Republicans (LCR) launched a million-dollar ad campaign Wednesday in an effort to stop the Federal Marriage Amendment (FMA), which would ban same-sex marriage.

The 30-second spot takes viewers back four years ago to the vice-presidential debate in Danville, Kentucky when Vice President Dick Cheney told CNN's Bernard Shaw, "People should be free to enter into any kind of relationship they want to enter into."

The vice president adds "I don't think there should necessarily be a federal policy in this area."

The words "We agree" then appear on the screen.

"I think the vice president made a very valid argument on why we shouldn't change the Constitution, and I don't think anything has changed since," explained Mark Mead, LCR spokesman.
