Huh, It Must Be Me:

I took offense at a comment made at my friend Marybeth's forum. One gentleman said that he was against Kerry's stance on homosexuality. Not "gay rights", on sexuality itself. He is a bible bigot Christian who also believes that abortion is murder, yada yada yada. Same 'ol shit. Feels he has to force his personal religious beliefs on everybody through the law.

Marybeth posted another thread about how she will not tolerate bigotry on her forum.

They all missed it, and were confused about what she was talking about.

That comment slipped right by. Those kinds of comments always slip right by.

I'm sorry but I have had enough. I'm tired of Christians who get to be bigots and hide behind their Bible. Either you are for equal rights for all citizens or you are a bigot, period. I will not speak with these people, and I will not "hang" with them on forums either. I'm done with it. I have no interest in anything they have to say anymore. I find it very hypocritical to deny that I am an equal citizen on one thread, and then chat merrily away with me another, like nothing is wrong. (the hypothetical me, actually he chats with another gay poster)

Maybe it's just me. But I'm tired of being the "understanding" one, of being the "tolerant" one. I'm done. I'm drawing the line NOW.

You support George Bush, you support bigotry. You don't think that gays should have equal rights, then you are a bigot. Deal with it.
