Michael & Me:

Debating whether or not to go see F-9/11 this afternoon. The reviews of the crowd reactions have me very curious. "Moving" is the word that comes up frequently. "Standing ovation" also has been said numerous times. It makes me wonder what is making jaded Americans feel this strongly about a movie- Spiderman 2 didn't get a standing O.

I must say that I have never been a Michael Moore fan- but I haven't read/seen him much either. Never saw "Bowling", although I meant to. Saw the pertinent clips. I will see it all someday. Didn't read "Roger & Me" except for some excerpts. Both sounded interesting, but there is something about Moore that turns me off - I can't put my finger on it, but the words "histrionic" and "pushy" come to mind. But this movie has me really intrigued.

I guess the question is, "Do I really need to be angrier than I already am?". I'm already foaming at the mouth, will this make me go postal? And, I also wonder if I'm hanging on to that anger as a way of avoiding despair- anger is energy, and is probably addicting on some level- the rush keeps me pumped, keeps me fighting. It might also be the motivator for positive change, so sometimes I feel justified in indulging in it.

Decisions, decisions...I have until 1PM or so to make up my mind, for today anyway...
