WOODTV.com & WOOD TV8 - Grand Rapids news and weather - Kent County judge goes back to work after attempting suicide
The Michigan Supreme Court says a Kent County judge is fit to serve after he attempted suicide.

According to Kent County Probate Court documents, Rockford District Judge Steven Servaas tried to take his life June 24. The documents say Servaas attempted to overdose on prescription pills, poison himself with carbon monoxide and slit his wrist.

Doctors who treated Servaas say at the time he was suffering from major depression.

Servaas was my judge on my second bust; I found him to be a lot more reasonable than Logan, that's for sure. Best of luck to you Mr. Servaas, I know very well what you are going through.
