Yahoo! News - Two Top CIA Officials Quit After Clash
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The top two officials at the CIA's clandestine unit resigned on Monday after clashing with the new management of the agency at a time when it is fighting terrorism and supporting U.S. operations in Iraq.

The resignations came two months after Goss took charge with a mandate to reform the spy agency which has been under fire for intelligence failures related to the Sept. 11 attacks and flawed prewar reports that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction.

Intelligence sources said the two officials resigned from the Directorate of Operations, the powerful unit that recruits foreign spies and conducts covert operations overseas, after confrontations with Goss's chief of staff, Patrick Murray.

Some intelligence experts said the problems boil down to the senior officers at the clandestine unit being inexperienced in playing politics and Goss' senior advisers being inexperienced in handling new-found power.

"Politics" should have no business here.

Speaking of weird creepy government things, I have now had a hit from Raytheon, they of the guided missle and other fun stuff, on this blog. This goes along with my hit from the GSA, the General Services Administration. Hey you guys! Get back to work! Or, offer me a job, one of the two! ;-)
