Cubs face deadline on free agents
CHICAGO -- The Chicago Cubs may have their middle infield combination of Nomar Garciaparra and Todd Walker signed on Tuesday.

Tuesday is the last date for teams to offer their declared free agents arbitration. If a club refuses to make an offer, it loses the right to re-sign the player until May 1, and also loses its right to receive draft picks back from the signing team.

Oh please, please, please make this happen Jim.

Apparently they are going to let go of Clement, which I think is a bad idea. We will know by tomorrow.
