Yahoo! News - Cubs Agree to Terms with Garciaparra
CHICAGO (Sports Network) - The Chicago Cubs Tuesday agreed to a contract with shortstop Nomar Garciaparra. As per team policy, financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Garciaparra, who filed for free agency just after the season ended, came to the Windy City after being acquired from Boston in a four-team deal just prior to the trading deadline.

The 31-year-old appeared in 43 games with the Cubs this season and batted .297 with four homers and 20 RBI.
