Yahoo! News - Five Die in Ohio Heavy Metal Band Shooting
COLUMBUS, Ohio (Reuters) - A man charged on stage and opened fire on a heavy metal band at a crowded bar in Columbus on Wednesday night, killing four people and wounding two others before being killed by police, officials said.

Among the dead was "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott, guitarist for the band Damageplan, who witnesses said appeared to have been singled out by the gunman and shot several times at close range, local media reported.

Abbott, 38, and his brother, drummer Vinnie Paul, were previously with Texan thrash metal band Pantera, which formed in the early 1980s.

I've had stuff thrown at me before (things like beer, coins...all in good fun, for them anyway) but nobody ever starting shooting. Must have been pretty scary.
