Yahoo! Sports - MLB - Red Sox sign Clement to three-year deal
BOSTON, Massachusetts, (AFP) - The World Series champion Boston Red Sox signed righthanded pitcher Matt Clement to a three-year deal in a move designed to address the loss of Pedro Martinez.

According to a number of reports, the Red Sox and veteran Clement have come to terms on a 25.5 million dollar deal on Friday.

On the same day the team signed All-Star shortstop Edgar Renteria, the club attempted to fill the void created by the departure of Martinez, who signed with the New York Mets on Wednesday.

Good for you Matt. Glad that you ended up on a winner.
