Chances are you have a local election to tend to today. Flint, Lansing, some cities around Detroit are facing important votes on public safety funding, here in Grand Rapids we have mass transit and school board seats on the ballot - many communities are looking at millage votes for schools and other local issues. Remember, there are some massive cuts coming from Lansing later this year; you might want to get out there today and do what you can to help your local officials keep your schools and public safety department intact.
