Michigan's Got Talent: Farmers Market Edition

More cute stuff from the Fulton St. market when I get around to it.

And BTW, starting this month, Bridge Card users can double-up their purchasing power on fresh fruits and vegetables at 46 different markets across the state (and Toledo). Follow the link to find a list of participants. Cool program:

When a person eligible for SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) uses his or her SNAP Bridge Card to shop for food at a farmers' market, the amount of money that he or she spends is matched with Double Up Food Bucks bonus tokens. The tokens can then be exchanged for Michigan-grown fruits and vegetables.

So, no, you can't buy shoe plants like the one pictured above, but you can get twice as much fresh, nutritious food, and support Michigan farmers at the same time. Very good idea.
