Wait, What?

Either this sentence slipped by an editor somewhere, or the cheese has completely fallen off of Santorum's cracker.

Santorum spent the day in Ohio, where he touted his plan to improve the nation's manufacturing base and said part of the effort must include a reduction in the number of children born out of wedlock.

What in the world could that possibly have to do with our manufacturing base?

By the way, Romney slammed Washington state by a huge margin after being down 11 pts just a couple of few weeks ago. Since Santorum did not qualify for the Virginia ballot, and has screwed up his chances in Ohio to the tune of losing a possible 18 delegates due to campaign disorganization, I just don't see how he goes on from Tuesday. Why would his pocket billionaire keep sending checks to this losing effort?
