This is one block over from the famous Lombard St. in the Russian Hill neighborhood, posted to show just how steep the hills really are in the city. Imagine parking your car like this everyday. Imagine your entire body weight, concentrated directly on the tendons in the back of your knee, when you're walking up this slope. Feel the burn. You will in short order.

Once you get in the house I'm sure it's worth it, what with the sweeping views of the Bay and all...

Update to add: Learned that Filbert is indeed one of the steepest streets in SF. Here's the list one resident put together, finding an almost unthinkable 37% grade on one out-of-the-way small street in Bernal. Yikes.
