Yahoo! News - Bush repeats anti-gay marriage stand
President George W. Bush repeated his opposition to same-sex marriage during his State of the Union speech on Tuesday night, this time suggesting that "activist judges" may force him to support a constitutional amendment to ban such unions.

If judges continue to open the door for legal recognition for same-sex couples "without regard for the will of the people," he said, "the only alternative is the constitutional process."

While many observers believe President Bush was trying to appease conservative voters as he seeks re-election this year, the remarks -- though vague -- angered some of the nation's largest GLBT political groups.

The message I got from this was: "You people sit down and shut-up before I'm forced to pass a law against you." Another quote from his speech was, "We must defend the sanctity of marriage." Well George, I suggest you start with Fox and go after things like "My Big Fat (redundant) Obnoxious Fiance." We don't want to end up with "My Big Fat Obnoxious Gay Fiance." Good God, there goes sanctity right out the window.

I couldn't watch the smarmy little son a of bitch. I turned over for one second and there he was, smirking away while those idiots applauded him. It made me ill. He is a liar, a murderer, a thief, and I will add bigot to the mix, too. And you all applaud this.

I'm back to- "throw 'em out. Throw 'em ALL out."
