Tigers and Cubs swap left-handed minor league pitchers
DETROIT (AP) — The Detroit Tigers acquired left-handed pitcher Felix Sanchez from the Chicago Cubs on Thursday in exchange for ex-Whitecap left-handed pitcher Jon Connolly and a player to be named later.

Connolly, 20, started four games at Single-A Lakeland this season and compiled a 2-2 record and 3.68 ERA.

Last season with Single-A West Michigan, he finished 16-3 with a 1.41 ERA in 25 games started and earned the Tigers Minor League Pitcher of the Year award.
