A dazzlin' Derby not to be
HOUSTON -- Sammy Sosa came to the Century 21 Home Run Derby with high hopes, the trademark hop and the familiar big swing.

Unfortunately for Sosa, it proved to be a disappointing night as he was knocked out of the Home Run Derby in the first round after hitting only five home runs.

"I wish I would have done better, but I had fun," Sosa said.

I knew he was toast when he swung at and missed the first ball thrown to him. I thought, "Gee, that looks familiar."
