DeVos Place Ceiling

DeVos Place Roof

$6.3 billion last year. $6.4 billion the year before. Buys you a whole lotta cool ceilings I guess.

Oh, and John Truscott was fibbing. But you knew that.

Also in today's release, Alticor admitted last fall's advertising campaign was in response to political ads during the governor's race criticizing the company.

"Alitcor launched an advertising campaign in Michigan in response to political ads criticizing the company by opponents of former Alticor president and Michigan gubernatorial candidate Dick DeVos," the statement read. "The 'I Am Amway' ads featured employees talking about the company and were well received in the marketplace."

That's a completely different statement than one issued in September 2006, when DeVos campaign spokesman John Truscott said "there was absolutely no connection between the campaign and the Amway ads."

Here is where Alticor goes off the beam- the political ads did not criticize the company, the political ads criticized DeVos for taking his billions and investing outside of Michigan, and then socking that money in a bank in Bermuda. Big difference.
