Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow...

Before the wind came. I discovered blizzards are hard to photograph.

Run! Save yourselves! It's the Blizzard of '07 here in West Michigan...

GRAND RAPIDS -- Blowing snow and other hazardous conditions today have police warning people to stay home. And with businesses, churches and other organizations shutting their doors because of the blizzard, people don't have too many places to go, anyway.

Heavy snow and 40 mph winds created whiteout conditions blamed for a series of pileups that closed U.S. 131 and caused back-ups on other roads.

The Michigan State Police and the state Department of Transportation this afternoon issued a warning telling people to stay off the roads "unless it is a matter of life and death." Drivers involved in a crash should to be prepared to wait because officers are inundated with calls.

Everything is closed. Buses shut down. Malls shut down. Events cancelled. If you're not already here, stay away.

Time for some cocoa.
