An antiwar group known as ACTIVE is planning a protest for 12:15 p.m. Friday at John Collins Park on Reeds Lake, near the school. The group has their own guest speaker, retired CIA officer Ray McGovern who is known for challenging former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld during a 2006 speech in Atlanta.Some East Grand Rapids students plan to wear black on Friday in their own form of protest.
