A Green Jobs Stroll Along the Chicago River

Chicago. Yeah, yeah, I love Michigan, but what I would give to be able to afford to live near the lakefront in Chicago. I often wonder what my life would have been like had my parents stayed and I grew up there instead of here. Can only imagine. World famous artist, or OD'd in an alleyway, or somewhere in-between - hard to tell.

Take the cruise up that river sometime - it is very, very cool.

Oh, and there's Governor Granholm, pushing for those green jobs. So glad that she is out there doing that. Someone has to deal with Wolf, might as well be her, right?

I also hope the Dems in Congress make a stronger effort to get this conversation to the forefront of the job creation argument - renewable energy is the winning position with every political affiliation out there, and if you want a tangible example of GOP obstruction and "sabotage" of the economy, bring the foot-dragging on energy policy into the mix. This is a lot better ground to play on than the mind-numbing boring talk of taxes and the deficit.

Schumer is headed in the right direction, but we need everyone to start rowing together here. C'mon Democrats, for once in my life let's all get on the same team. Need something to look forward to.
