You really need to check out the 1000 px version if you want to see the people waaay down below on the beach...
If you look on a map just north of Bodega Bay, you'll see that all the way up the coast for miles is Sonoma Coast State Beach land, and it's a bunch of little named beaches all in a row along Highway 1 until you get to the huge state park. I never made it up that far as it was getting kind of late in the day. This shot was close to Arched Rock Beach. (if it had it's own name, I've forgotten it already)
Absolutely beautiful up there, and amazingly empty. Rolling hills and mountains and farms and not a lot of people. Going to go back one of these days, leave real early and see if I can make Oregon...
