Pfc. Nicholas Blodgett of Wyoming dies in attack north of Baghdad
The 2001 Catholic Central High School graduate was killed Wednesday when an explosive struck his Bradley fighting vehicle near Abdalluyah, 45 miles north of Baghdad. The Army disclosed his death on Thursday after notifying his family on Wednesday.

Blodgett is the 902nd American service member to die in the Iraq war. He is the first Grand Rapids-area death caused by enemy fire and the 28th in Michigan.

The war comes home.
