Whitecaps win again, keep fire burning
The win was the third in a row for the Whitecaps, who improved to 36-25 in the second half and have reached the .500 mark (65-65) for the first time since April 18 when they were 5-5.

Their magic number for clinching a playoff berth is four with nine games left in the regular season.

This was from Saturday- they won yesterday also, and are now three games up in first place. They are 23-5 for the month of August. Looks like there will be playoff baseball here in town this year!
