Yahoo! News - U.S. Judge Refuses More Feeding in Schiavo Case
Way down at the bottom of this story was a very spooky statement that I thought might interest some of you. Consider yourself officially warned about what these people are up to.

PINELLAS PARK, Fla. (Reuters) - A federal judge Tuesday rejected a request from the parents of Florida woman Terri Schiavo to reinsert her feeding tube, dealing a blow to attempts by the U.S. Congress and the White House to prolong her life.

Schiavo's parents, Bob and Mary Schindler, immediately appealed to the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Atlanta as their daughter went for a fourth day without nutrition or hydration.

In a 13-page ruling issued at dawn, U.S. District Judge James Whittemore acknowledged the gravity of the consequences in denying the request for an emergency order to restore the feeding tube. Doctors say Schiavo, 41, would likely remain alive for one to two weeks without it.

But Whittemore said he was obliged to follow the law and issue the order only if the Schindlers could show their overall case was likely to succeed in federal court, which they had not.

Yada yada yada...BTW, where's Tom? Nevermind, here's the interesting part-

Meanwhile, in the state capital of Tallahassee, sign-toting activists scrambled to renew pressure on the state legislature to approve a law that would allow Gov. Jeb Bush, President Bush's brother, to put Schiavo under his protection.

The Florida Senate last week rejected a proposal to intervene in the case on a 21-16 vote, with nine Republicans joining Democrats. Since then Gov. Bush has turned up the heat.

Randall Terry, a right-wing Christian activist and spokesman for the Schindlers, said he and others plan to remain in Tallahassee.

"We're still saying that there has to be a legislative solution here," Terry said. "If the Senate passes a bill, (Jeb) Bush will take her into custody just like that."

Obviously that won't work either. (I hope)

But you have now witnessed just how far these lunatics will go. They would promote a law that turns over custody of a person to the government for "their own good". Strip them from their families, and turn them over to the state.

Why stop there, Mr. Terry? Perhaps you have little camps in mind for those folks who need to be "protected" by the government, huh? Like pregnant women, for example?

Creeping fascism. These guys need to be renounced, pronto.
